Hello Colleague!
Does your stomach drop every time you see a pregnant client in your schedule?
Do you dream of creating a prenatal practice, but aren't sure where to start? Do you feel apprehension in your prenatal massage skills? Do the do's and don't's feel overwhelming?
If your answer to any of these is yes, I can help!
As a prenatal focused RMT with over 10 years of experience, I have worked with thousands of pregnant clients.
I've mastered the art of the prenatal intake, the nuance of pillowing, positioning and draping, and I've carefully crafted treatments that help my clients have less painful pregnancies and better birth experiences.
And I want to share all of this knowledge with you...
Because I'll let you in on a little secret...
Prenatal massage isn't hard, it's actually really easy!
When I ask new clients if they've had a prenatal massage before, and they say yes and they didn't like it, nine times out of ten they say it's because the therapist seemed nervous and afraid to touch them.
Prenatal massage doesn't have to be intimidating, and I am here to give you confidence and clarity. I promise that by the end of our time together, you will no longer dread a side-lying glute drape, among other things.
I approach prenatal massage from a client centred lens. I don't believe in special, one-size-fits-all recipes to giving a prenatal massage.
I'm here to fuel your intuition, and nurture the skills you already have.

Lindsay Finnie
Registered Massage Therapist, Birth Doula, Educator
Hey, I’m Lindsay (she/her) – a self-proclaimed Birth Nerd and cat meme enthusiast. I'm on a mission to help my fellow massage therapists better understand the pregnant body and how to treat it with confidence.
For the last decade, I have treated thousands of pregnant people, supported nearly 100 births as a labour support doula, and began sharing my knowledge with other therapists through my popular course, Confidently Treating Your Prenatal Client and lectures at The Canadian Massage Conference. I'm not afraid to have hard conversations, I don't gatekeep information, and I deeply value relationships.
I never say no to coffee, love Halloween and can quote The Office at the drop of a hat. When I'm not on call for babies - I can be found backcountry camping with my husband Dave, snuggling my cat or sewing clothes for my adorable nieces and nephews.
