Registered Massage Therapist + Birth Doula

Part registered massage therapist. Part doula. Full-on birth nerd. Think of me as your one-stop, go-to care provider for ALL things  pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Hey, I'm Lindsay (she/her),

I found massage therapy while I was lost in an eating disorder, something that had taken up over a decade of my life. It was a strange, unexpected experience but massage allowed me to slow down and learn to connect with my body. I started listening to it, and not my disorder, for the first time in years. It became this invaluable part of my recovery and now I’m here, trying to pay it forward.

I first heard the word “doula” when I was in massage school and I was immediately drawn to learn more. It soon became evident to me that this was something I had to pursue. Throughout the years it has been so incredibly rewarding to bear witness to the miracle of birth and families growing.

Combining my massage therapy practice with doula work has allowed me to connect with my clients in truly profound ways. I've experienced an unconventional way massage therapy can positively impact a life and I bring that with me into every treatment and birth; knowing that the body holds so much more than bones, organs and soft tissue. The body knows, it remembers and that deserves to be honoured.

When I’m not treating patients …

Outside of work, I love cats, coffee, Halloween and tacos. I also love to cook while dancing to motown and funk music. A typical Friday night for me includes pizza, comfy pants, and Nintendo 64.

Pizza and dancing aside...

I’m here for YOU and the vision you have for a smooth pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Come for the pain relief, leave with peace of mind.

If you’re like most of my pregnant patients, you just want to feel like a regular, functioning human being again. (Is that so much to ask?) You’re achy, moody, and at the mercy of a tiny-but-stubborn bean growing inside you! That’s where prenatal massage comes in. It works wonders for your comfort level, sleep quality, mood, and more. You’ll leave with less pain and more peace of mind, knowing that you and your baby are on the best track to a healthy birth.

Sometimes, you just want your own personal Google.

That’s me! (*hand raises excitedly*). As a birth doula, I’m here for you around the clock – literally – to answer any questions you may have about pregnancy, labour, and recovery. I’ll also help you weed through all the myths and misinformation surrounding these topics so that you can confidently navigate important decisions with ease. As you prep for your baby, I’ll support any and all of your choices. (Truly. I won’t be like that “well-meaning” mom friend of yours with the judgey comments.)

So, why me?

I wear the self-proclaimed Birth Nerd badge with pride! I’ve got more education in prenatal massage than your average therapist, and have dedicated the majority of my professional career to learning all I can about pregnancy, birth, and your body’s reactions to both. While most massage therapists might see one or two pregnant people in a month, I massage pregnant and newly postpartum people all day, every day. This means that you aren’t just seeing a generalist – you’re seeing someone who lives and breathes the world you’re living in.
